NO  - The subject of these transcriptions, Nicolas Fouquet, marquis de Belle-Île (1615-1680) was surintendant des finances from 1653 until 1661. His career ended in ignominy when he was accused of thefts, arrested and imprisoned from 1661 until his death in 1680.
