An Account of the Life and Glorious Actions of William the Third (London, 1702).
A propaganda cult grew up around King William III during the 1690s, which was aimed at building and consolidating public support for a regime which had been established by force of arms and was assailed by enemies both within the kingdom and across Europe.
This cheap, short pamphlet provided a standard hagiography of William’s ‘Life and Glorious Actions’ before his death as the result of a fall from his horse. It concludes by hoping for a ‘happy Government’ under William’s successor, Queen Anne.
