Anonymous, Disputationes Theologicae (16th or 17th century)
These theological notes have been the canvas for this large sketch of a man, and again what looks like a mouse with a sword, this time in a robe, and the childish scribble: ‘god that art in’. These examples show that even the most serious of books and manuscripts could become scraps of paper.
Click on 'Show more' below to see a detail of the mouse, the scribbled text, and a close-up of the first sketch.
